You’re a ‘Risk’? No Cheap Car Insurance For You

May 26, 2009 Cars & Trucks Comments Off

The key to getting cheap car insurance is to be a ‘low risk’ driver. For example, insurers’ are not going to be too keen to insure a driver who has been in motor accidents’ every second year since he’s been driving – he is a big risk. Hence, he will really need to pay for his car insurance.

However, an experienced ‘Rating 1′ driver, who has never made a claim will be laughing all the way to bank (thats a joke – no-one laughs when they have to go to the bank…) because they will get insurance at a rock bottom price. The key to cheap car insurance is to not be a risk to the insurance companies.

This does NOT mean you should lie when applying for car insurance quotes! If and when you make a claim, there is a good chance insurance assessors will do a bit of research, and if you are found to have been lying when getting your quote, they are obligated to pay you zilch – in which case you’ll be much worse off than if you just told the truth and paid the higher premium.

The key to getting cheap car insurance is not to lie, or any other strategy… just the age-old technique of ‘avoidance’ – avoid becomming a risk factor in the first place and you won’t need to be charged a small fortune to be insured.
