Little Boys Love Nautical Bedding Themes
While little girls may love collecting sea shells, little boys carry the idea of the sea straight to their bedrooms. Perhaps, the colors and the designs best lend themselves to our little sailors. Many of the nautical bedding sets are filled with irregular stripes and shades of blues, reds and browns making the theme ideal for the young boy.
Little boys have wild imaginations. After seeing “Pirates of the Caribbean” many have dreams of sleeping on a ships bunk or swabbing the decks. They see lanterns swaying gently in the night breeze. Possessions are securely packed in a sailor’s trunk. And, of course, every little sailor should know where the life preserver is located.
When it comes to nautical bedding, the little boy is in luck. Whether mom allows him to select red and navy bedding or leads him to baby blue with brown, there is sure to be a bed set that will make any youngster excited. To make the shopping easier, mom can begin the new decor with a twin bedding set in the nautical theme. Kids often have twin beds in their rooms to allow for more play space. What luck! There are enough bed in a bag sets in the ocean theme designed for the twin bed that any youngster can create the perfect room for days and nights of great play and plentiful dreams.
The bedding does not have to have anchors or starfish embroidered or appliqued on the quilt. The colors can be basic and the pattern can be quite simple. All that is needed to create the perfect nautical theme is a trunk (for toys) at the foot of the bed, a lantern style light cover, a couple of life preservers and maybe a wall clock in the ships wheel motif. With so many accessories to accentuate the theme, the bedding can be quite simple. In fact, the bedding may last longer than the love of the theme. That’s fine. With such a simple decor, all one needs to do is change a few accessories and another theme can be created.
