Alcohol Drug Detox At Home

June 13, 2009 Health & Fitness No Comments

Can you alcohol drug detox at home? How would you achieve this? And is it safe? These are some of the questions that you would need to ask yourself before attempting to do this.

The only way I would suggest that you even consider alcohol drug detox at home is to first and foremost consult your family doctor. She will have access to your medical history, and should be able to give you an opinion about whether this course of action is advisable, or indeed safe.

You will need to set yourself up in your home with everything that you need for a week or more, food and other provisions, warm clothes, medication, emergency telephone numbers, and either someone who can stay with you or can visit you at least once per day.

Once you have followed the guidelines and advice of your doctor, it should be safe for you to attempt alcohol drug detox at home.
